My, how hostile our culture has become. “Know also this, that, in the last days, shall come dangerous times.” II Tim. 3:1 Douay-Rheims.  As a lover of the Lord Jesus Christ and His word, have you found yourself asking, “What in the world is going on”?  You don’t need a prophet to tell you we are living in dangerous times.  Like one brother stated:  “Utterly preposterous – completely contrary to common sense”.  I could not have said it better.

I believe the Holy Spirit has given me prophetic insight that will help ease your mind. “For men shall be lovers of their own selves…despisers of those that are good.” II Tim. 3:2, 3 KJV  The operative words that I’d like to point out are:  despisers of those that are good, which means – hostile to virtue.  You see, those who are lovers of their own selves live by their own alternate reality.  They detest those who live by godly standards…it exposes their own self-centeredness!  One Hollywood actress exclaimed, “I should be able to dress any way I want without anyone judging me”.  This unprincipled mindset has woven its way into the culture’s consciousness.

At our nation’s founding, our moral compass was derived from the Bible.  Our ethics were rooted in the Judeo-Christian traditions.  That’s where we got our common sense – our sense of normalcy.  Truth was absolute; morality clearly defined.  Although not perfect we believed our rights came from a transcendent God.

Today, God has been ejected out of the American mainstream for the man-centered philosophy of Political Correctness.  Since truth has become relative, human opinion has been relegated as fact.  Now what has been considered abnormal has become the new normal.  Anarchy has taken the place of sanity and those who hold this insane world-view have become blind to it.  These re-inventers of social tolerance have only created more hostility…with viciousness at that! “They have healed the brokenness of My people superficially, Saying, ‘Peace, peace, ‘But there is no peace.’” Jer. 6:14 NASU

The political correct crowd despises God’s word; it’s an offense to them. “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” Is. 5:20 KJV  What was once deemed good by God’s standards is now bad for our new societal norms.  What was once pronounceably evil is now good.  What once stood in the light has now become obscure.  What was once considered distasteful is now in good taste, if one esteems it as so.

So dear saint, you’re not the crazy one, the whole world has gone mad! “Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.” II Tim. 3:5 KJV  My burden is for God’s people.  Order your life by the authority of the Scriptures.  Run from any pastor, church or ministry that does not hold to the Word of God nor models it by example.  It is by faith we stand.  So, stand fast with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart (II Tim. 2:22).

“And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which will feed you with knowledge and understanding.” Jer. 3:15 KJV
